The Inclusive Education Network of the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, with the support of Centre for the Promotion of Science, Škograd Research Centre and Educational Research Association of Serbia are pleased to announce the call for the 2023 EERA Summer School ‘Inclusive approaches to educational research’.
12th-14th July 2023 at the University of Belgrade, Serbia
PhD students and early career researchers interested in transforming educational practices through research are warmly welcomed to apply for this three-day School.
Why should you apply?
- Opportunities to share and discuss research ideas, plans and/ or proposals in small groups and to receive feedback from international researchers who will share their expertise and experiences on a wide range of educational and social issues,
- Keynote lectures which will provide diverse perspectives on potentials of inclusive approaches to educational research,
- Interactive workshops and hands-on activities to develop the participants’ capacities for employing inclusive approaches at different stages of a research process,
- Field trips/site visits to places developed through community-based participatory research: a local school in one of the informal neighbourhoods in Belgrade, which conducts participatory action research in collaboration with the Schoolcity collective, the Center for the promotion of science, a public institution that aims at developing scientific literacy and citizen science program,
- Opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences with peers and tutors from diverse backgrounds in a dynamic and socio-historically rich context.
Who can apply and what is needed?
If you are a PhD student or an early career researcher you can apply for this Summer School. It is open to participants from both member and non-member countries of EERA. Your field of work must relate to educational research.
Your submission form should include:
- An abstract of your research or research idea, no more than 1,800 characters long (including a short description of the conceptual framework, aims and research questions and intended methodology)
- Main references (up to 800 characters)
- CV
- Motivation for participation in the Summer School
