Developing Sustainable Frameworks
Join us for a day full of insightful discussions, engaging workshops, and networking opportunities. This will be a forward-looking conference on the theme of embedding cultures of sanctuary throughout university structures. The conference aims to promote an understanding of sanctuary at universities that is holistic, traversing the entire community of practice at universities. We’ll hear about the innovative actions university communities have taken to deepen their sanctuary work as well as to move beyond a reactive model by seeking to develop durable, sustainable systems that promote sanctuary beyond moments of crisis.
Whether you are a student, academic, or community member, this conference is a great opportunity to learn from experts in the field and share best practices with like-minded individuals. This event is open to all universities.
Please note: the conference fee is intended to support the travel and accommodation costs of people who otherwise would be unable to participate.
If you are a Sanctuary Student who would like to attend the conference, please approach your university to ask about possible funding for your travel and accommodation costs. If your university is not able to help you, please get in touch with us via universitiesconference@uk.cityofsanctuary.org as we have a limited fund available for travel and accommodation costs for people seeking sanctuary.
